Veedcast.com | Alternative Video Sharing

Veedcast.com is a new way of sharing videos from Youtube.

Imagine this:
You are at home and at your computer browsing the web, all of a sudden a skype call comes in. You accept the call and start chatting with your friend. Then your friend is starting to text message you on skype with links from Youtube. You now have to click on every link and open up a new tab on your browser wait for the page to load and then watch the video. And if you have friends that are quite active on Youtube you get a lot of links this way.

This is where Veedcast comes in. You simply take that Youtube link, post it on Veedcast, then Veedcast creates a "Channel" with a unique identifier and you simply share this link to your friends, and voila! Your friends can now watch your channel and see what you want to share with them. In an almost perfect sync. You take control of what video you want to show them, when to start it, seek to a particular position of time in the video and pause the video to comment on it.

Veedcast is now in Beta so go ahead and try it out with your friends.

The steps to follow are:

  1. Find a Youtube video and copy the URL.
  2. Open up the page www.veedcast.com :p
  3. Paste the link on the input box below the Logo and click "Create a Veedcast Channel"
  4. There you'll find a link below the video player with your unique identifier and social media buttons to share on Facebook and Twitter.
  5. Share the link and start posting videos.
Have fun!
